WHAT YOU’LL GET
An Initial Physiotherapy Assessment with our resident Physio Karen.
You will participate in an instructor/physio-led, small group class of 4 people, and during each of the weekly sessions, you will be provided with the tools necessary for your strength and flexibility journey.
Exclusive “exercise” booklet with step-by-step instruction (written and visual) to guide you to improve postural stability, balance, and the strength of your bones and muscles.
An exercise program to help you create new habits and go deeper into the work of improving your strength & flexibility

Join Physiotherapist & STOTT Pilates Instructor Karen Baxter and STOTT Pilates Instructor & Studio Zee Pilates Owner Stacey Ziebarth for this 7 week Osteoporosis/Osteopenia program, with all the tools you will need to help you build strength, flexibility, balance, and control.
One of the most startling statistics is that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 8 men over the age of 50 suffers from Osteoporosis/Osteopenia. What this means to us is that when doing Pilates with these clients we must ask if they have any history of osteopenia or osteoporosis so we can modify their exercise program properly. Pilates is one of the best forms of exercises for these clients but certain exercises are contraindicated and can in fact cause fractures if someone has moderate to severe osteoporosis.
We will go over all these contraindications during your program with us so you know modifications to make sure you are building muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and core strength correctly while avoiding injury (fractures).
